In our Milton centre we provide care from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, for children from 3 months to 4 ½ years of age. These children are divided into three age groups:
Infants Most of our children in this group of 10 begin with us at 8 to 12 months, although we do accept younger children. The Infant staff maintain a continual ratio of one teacher for every three children, providing the extra care and attention these little ones need.
Toddlers This busy group begins with children at 18 months of age and focuses on developing early communication and social skills. Three teachers guide the group of 15 toddlers through new discoveries and feelings of independence.
Preschool Our preschool children are referred to as the Juniors. This group of 16 children is 2 ½ to 4 years of age and focuses on developing the cognitive and social skills needed to start school.

Tips for a Smoother Transition to Child Care As we all know, the transition to child care can be both stressful for parents and guardians as well as for your child. Click here for some tips for a smoother transition to child care.
Inclement Weather Policy During the winter months, inclement weather can disrupt regular school operations. In case of poor weather, the Halton Catholic District School Board may close Bishop Reding. Click here for more information. Our centre will only be closed due to inclement weather if the school itself is closed or if the Executive Directors deems necessary. In the event of inclement weather, please click on the Weather Bulletin link to the right to check the status of school cancellations.
